Banded Pull Throughs

I absolutely LOVE this exercise for the glutes. It’s basically a hip thrust, which is more technically referred to as “hip extension”. Hip Extensions strengthen the glutes and help increase glute power and strength; really important for any sport, but also important for great looking glutes! 🙂

You can do this with resistance bands (as shown in this video), or with any pulley system at the gym.


Rep Range

To get the blood really flowing to the glute muscles, you’re going to want to do higher sets of higher receptions. If you’re new to this exercise, begin with 3-4 sets of 12-15, then after a few weeks progress to 4 or 5 sets of 15-20.
