I just came off of an 8-day cross country road trip with my husband and daughter, starting in snowy Wilmington, Delaware and ending in sunny San Diego, California! ❄️ ?

3,001 miles though the plains, mountains, cities, and desserts of America…

We sang in Nashville, danced in Graceland, got a chilling history lesson in Little Rock, hugged family in Texas, ate dinner at 54,000 feet with a 360 degree revolving view of Dallas, visited the aliens ? in Rockwell, New Mexico, played in the white sands of the Chihuahuan Desert in Mexico, hugged more family in Arizona, watched a gun fight in Tombstone, Arizona, and saw the sun set over the beautiful pacific coast, which is where we’ll spend the next 5 weeks, before moving north to our next destination of Sacramento, CA.

For the past 3 and 1/2 years my family and I have been spending months at a time living in different places all over the world, including the Caribbean and Mexico. This year, we’re spending most of it in the states, in California and Oregon.

This was my dream as a young girl, and when I met my husband 12 years ago, we committed to making it happen together.

After 8 years of holding that vision, and being receptive to it…when the moment presented itself, we took action! Even though at the very same time, we were also presented with an unexpected twist of becoming parents overnight to my 3 year old niece…we didn’t change our dream; we just broadened it to include her in it.

Vision + Allowing + Action = Manifestation

What do you dream of?

And in what ways do you talk yourself out of your dreams? What unexpected twists and turns do you use as an excuse to not pursue your dreams?

Here’s how most people think:

I’d love to travel more and spends weeks or months (even years) in different areas in the world. BUT it’s not realistic! How would I work? My kid needs more stability. What about school and sports? What will people think about me?

Here’s how I think:

I’m committed to my dream of traveling and living in different parts of the world, and because my husband wants that too, we’ll put together a plan that makes that possible in the near future. I’ll sell my brick and mortar business to homeschool our new daughter and allow her the gift of experiencing the world and different cultures. Then I’ll take the steps towards starting a lucrative online business that allows me to work from anywhere in the world. We may not have all the details figured out, but they will unfold as we take action.

See the difference in Mindset?

One is all about your liminations, and reasons why you Can’t do something. And the other mindset (mine) is all about how I Can and Will do something, no matter what!

That’s because I am committed to living life on my terms, in a way that fulfills me, challenges me, and feels authentic to who I am. For me, that means I need a little adventure, and lots of variety.

For you, it could mean something else. And that’s why it’s important for you to be clear on what living an authentic life means to YOU, and then commit to it!

What is Commitment?

Commitment is when you fully commit to something, and you go ALL IN…you make it happen no matter what life throws your way, and no matter how inconvenient it becomes.

So here’s a question for you…

Have you fully committed to pursuing your dreams? Do you know you could be doing more to make your dreams happen?

If so, don’t put it off any longer.

There was so much joy during our cross country road trip. So many moments when my husband and I looked at each other and smiled, knowing that we are living OUR dream, and that we are setting an example for our daughter of what it looks like and feels like to follow her dreams.

You can experience moments like this in your life too when you’ve got the right mindset and a vision that is authentic to you.

Do you feel 100% confident that you have gotten the results you want in your life, in your career, in your health, and in your relationships? And that you’re not just drifting through life on auto-pilot, reacting to what happens instead of creating what happens?
