SHAVED BRUSSELS RECIPE – HEALTHY. QUICK. EASY.

Brussels sprouts make an excellent side dish, and are loaded with fiber and antioxidants!

I’ve braised them. I’ve boiled them. I’ve baked them. I’ve roasted them. But finally, I shaved them!

Shaved brussels sauted over the stove is by far my favorite way to eat them. Mostly because it’s quick and easy, but also because I love how light and crispy they taste. TIP: Use less butter for a crispier taste.

In my favorite version, I add mushrooms and onions. YUM.

In your own recipe, you could add garlic, nuts, or any other ingredient you fancy. The possibilities are endless.

You won’t believe how quick and easy this is!

Ingredients

I’ll leave the portions/measurements up to you, depending on how many servings you plan to make. This kind of recipe does not call for exact measurements of anything.

1. Brussels Sprouts, washed, with the ends cut off, shaved or sliced in food processor
2.Chopped onions
3. Chopped mushrooms
4. Ghee or regular Butter (grass fed/organic is best)
5. Salt & pepper to tastee

Directions

1. Saute onions & mushrooms in ghee or butter for 3-5 minutes
Season with salt & pepper
2. Add shaved brussels and continue to sauté for 5 minutes

Serve immediately, or chill for a cold “salad like” side dish.
