YOU HAVE MORE POWER THAN YOU THINK: HOW TO CREATE CHANGE

For many of us, as we go through the day-to-day motions of our lives, we’re in reaction mode—simply existing. We react to our circumstances or conditions and base our feelings on them. This often leads to suffering—to feeling like a victim of what’s going on around us.

But …

What if you shifted your thoughts about existing and, more specifically, about manifesting the existence you want?

What if you began to manifest on purpose, to be deliberate with your intention so you could consciously create your own circumstances?

That would be pretty amazing, wouldn’t it?

Well, guess what? It’s possible. With the right tools, you CAN become a deliberate, conscious creator of precisely what you want.

According to one of my favorite books, “Manifest Your Desires,” “Deliberate creation is not about the condition changing and then you finding better feelings in response to the changed condition. Deliberate creation is about choosing a thought that feels good to you when you choose it, which then causes the condition to change.”

You have the power and the ability to change your situation, to create the circumstances you want to create.

As you probably already know, what you think about, regularly, becomes what you believe. And what you believe determines your reality.

Take a moment to think about an area in your life where you’d like to manifest something specific. Maybe you want to manifest greater financial abundance, or a better relationship, or better health and fitness.

What are your current thoughts around that area? Are you focusing on your lack of financial abundance, your lack of a great relationship, or your difficulties getting healthier and more fit? If so, you’re manifesting more lack, more difficulties.

So how do you turn that around?​

Here’s an exercise to get you started:

Exercise: Deliberate Creation

Grab some paper and something to write with. Write down one area of your life that is not ideal, not what you would choose it to be.

Now, sit for a moment with the feelings that come up automatically. Those might be angry, defensive, victimized, or depressed.

Next, deliberately choose a different thought, a different way to feel.

A quick note, here: this isn’t about faking it. You can’t trick the universe with your energy. But do some soul searching and find one positive in the situation, one small section that produces positive thoughts that actually feel good to you.

Do you feel those positive vibes?

From that place, consider the changes you’d like to make. Consider the actions you can take in order to create those changes.
